Sexual criminal law
Sexual criminal law is one of the most complex, emotional, and serious areas of criminal law that deals with criminal offenses related to sexual acts or assaults. In sexual criminal law proceedings, it is crucial for the criminal defense lawyer to remain objective, critical, and fiercely advocate on behalf of the client. This is because the rights of the accused, especially the presumption of innocence, can often be overlooked due to sometimes unobjective and emotionally charged prejudices.
Offenses against sexual self-determination often occur between two individuals with no other witnesses or objective evidence. As a result, the alleged victim's testimony is often the sole basis of the criminal proceedings and the impending conviction. Such a situation and the associated risk of false accusations are the most significant difficulties in sexual offense cases.
The problems and challenges of sexual criminal proceedings, including the confrontation with expert opinions and witnesses, are a focus of my work as a lawyer. I aim to achieve the best possible result for my clients in a committed, discreet, and, if necessary, confrontational manner.
